Playing Level: Using the description below, indicate your playing level. (A8 indicates abillity ro read "up an octave" on alto.)

____ 1 Play S or A; Know 2 octaves of notes. Sightreading and rhythm not secure.

____ 2 Play S, and A, maybe also T or B; Knnow chromatic notes. Sight reading OK if not too fast. Some problems with rhythm.

____ 3 Play S, A, A8, T, B. Sight reading good. Comfortable playing with metronome. Familiar but not secure with cut time and 6/8 rhythm. Can play easily with metronome. Comfortable with cut time, 6/8 rhythm, and syncopated rhythms.

____ 5 Play S, A, A8, T, B in any octave (must play and bring all). Comfortable with cut time, 6/8, and syncopated rhythms. Technique and rhythm very good. Can play in several keys, up to 3 sharps and 3 flats.

____ 6 Play S, A, A8, T, B in any octave (must plaly and bring all). Sight reading excellent. Secure on tricky rhythms (i.e., modern music). Excellent technique on fast passages. Familiar with multiple articulation patterns. Can play in several keys, at least up to 4 sharps and 4 flats.
