COVID-19 Update 3 – Online Concert Series

We are thrilled to welcome you to a series of five weekly early music online performances in an artistic collaboration with Collegium Musicum of New Jersey. The first performance is on Sunday, April 26, 2020, at 1:00 P.M. Please join us online as masters of the violin and viola bring to life wonderful music of Telemann, Bach and Handel in the spirit of the original Collegium Musicum founded by Telemann in Leipzig in 1702. Message from the President of the Highland Park Recorder Society

My name is Donna Messer. As president of the Highland Park Recorder Society I am thrilled to welcome you to a series of five weekly early music online performances in an artistic collaboration with Collegium Musicum of New Jersey. The first performance is on Sunday, April 26, 2020, at 1:00 P.M. It will be live-streamed from the acoustically alive St. Thomas RC Church of the Apostle in Old Bridge, following Sunday Mass. In this time of trouble and uncertainty, do join us to enjoy beautiful music that will lift your spirits.

Please join us on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. as masters of the violin and viola bring to life wonderful music of Telemann, Bach and Handel in the spirit of the original Collegium Musicum founded by Telemann in Leipzig in 1702.

Music of the Bach – Handel – Telemann period for recorders, strings and harpsichord will include, Hidden Treasures of the Baroque era; a collection of recently discovered lesser-known works from Belarus; and music of Praetorius, Purcell, Biber and Uccellini.
